As one of the most important pieces of furniture in an office building, the lobby desk must be visually appealing as well as resilient to constant wear and tear. In partnership with Wolcott Architecture & Interiors, MASHstudios successfully engineered a durable and beautiful desk for the professional building at 700 N. Brand Street in Glendale, California. Entrusted with detailing and engineering the desk, MASHstudios took Wolcott’s design concept and developed a multi-functional, high-tech lobby desk, complete with an incorporated touch-screen monitor to aid visitors in finding their destination. The ovular desk is constructed of thermoformed corian, white thassos marble, acid-etched back-painted glass and a brushed stainless-steel work surface.
