The design of mirror-imaged reception desks for each of the Century Plaza Towers lobbies was a successful engineering feat for Mash Studios. Brushed stainless steel, black granite and white onyx make up the outer frame. A concealed inner frame custom designed by Mash holds wiring for security monitors and computers as well as fluorescent lighting on a gantry. The custom designed gantry is a horizontal hoisting mechanism that allows for the 20 foot lighting track to be pulled out with ease for bulb replacement. The gantry is entirely concealed within the inner frame only allowing the illumination to show through.
